Burneston Folk Club
is held in the Woodman Inn, Burneston, just south of Bedale, every Wednesday night starting at 8.30pm. It’s a lively club with a mix of traditional, acoustic and contempory music. Everyone is welcome, whether it is to play, sing or just listen. Audience very welcome.
 The club was started by Len Rowland-Jones in October 2001. Glyn Cavell is the current MC ably supported by Joolz and Zeke Deighton . We do not book guests, charge an entrance fee or hold a raffle. We just enjoy the music. Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned performer you will be made most welcome.
Our regulars include Norman Garbutt, Trollers Gill, Wendy and Paul Arrowsmith, Joolz Cavell and Rebekah Findlay amongst many others. Kirkby Fleetham Folk Club
has been set up to set up to promote local and upcoming Folk/ Acoustic/ Roots artistes. It is planned to have occasional bigger name guests as funds allow. It will usually run on the 3rd Saturday of each month 8.30pm (til late!) The Venue is The Village Hall, Kirkby Fleetham, North Yorkshire.
Cost of entry will vary depending on the artistes appearing. There will either be a main guest and a couple of floor spots on each evening or two slightly shorter main guest slots. There will be a singaround starting at 7pm, priopr to the acts taking to the stage The Club takes place in the comfortable, village hall with candles on the tables and subtle stage lighting for the acts…creating a comfortable ambience.
